Rated 4 out of 5 by from Superb Shampoo This is a lush shampoo that nurtures the strands and leaves your hair silky smooth and soft; it does seem to help preserve the hair color and at least mitigate color fading for my red hair. My only complaint is that I'd like for it to boost volume just a tad; I combine it with Aveda Color Protect shampoo to get a little more movement in my hair without sacrificing the smoothing and silky effects of the shampoo. It also has a pleasant yet minimal fragrance; I will definitely buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lisa Orange County CA from Wonderful Products! Prior to having children, my hair was perfectly straight and thick. People pay a lot of money to have their hair straightened. I was lucky. The only downside to my hair is that it is very course. After having kids, my hair became extremely frizzy. Add coloring to the mix, it's a hot mess! Since discovering the Kerastase line, my hair has found new life. Even my stylist noticed an immediate all-around improvement. I love that Kerastase had left a 90% reduction in the frizz and reduced the blow dry time. I use a T3 blowdyer. The dryer is designed to reduce drying time by half. That was 15 minutes for me (extemely long and thick hair). I timed the last blow dry to 7 minutes. My hair look amazing and smooth. I don't think that I will be able to use anything but Kerastase. You have made a friend for life! When purchasing Kerastase shampoo and mask in a kit, I received a travel size bottle of hair spray. Wow! Best hair spray that I have ever used. The holding power lasted all day and didn't even use very much. It was weightless. With having long, thick and course hair, it's difficult to find a hair spray that can handle my hair. Bye-bye Kenra. I did use it for 20+ years. It never let me down, until now... I see only 2 drawbacks to Kerastase. First would be the cost. I'll get over it. The second would be the availibilty in the marketplace. I had to drive about 7 miles to purchase it. It may not seem so far for some. But living in Southern CA, one gets used to having most things availible. I understand the exclusivity of Kerastase and that It is my understanding that Kerastase only allows a 3 product líne per distributor. I truly wish that it wasn't this way. I believe that Kerastase would still maintain their pricing, and also be able to move more units. I am working on getting my hair salon to carry Kerastase and that they would be within Kerastase's guidelines. So in case Kerastase does not like my sugguestion, just maybe I'll be able to get Kerastase to come to me at my hair salon. Thank you for making such wonderful products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kerastase is pretty incrediable! Where to begin, this is a review and a story of my hair journey and finding Kerastase. I've been a long time user of Kerastase (4 years now). I started using Kerastase after my hair started shedding terribly, breaking a lot, and just became really dry in a matter of a months. This change was absolutely devastating as I had always had thick, silky, beautiful hair which I took for granted. I immediately went to the doctor and had all kinds of tests done, because at my age (27 at the time) my hair should have been healthy and vibrant. Long story short my tests were all fine (thank God), but still no answers for why my hair all of sudden went from healthy to a thin, dry fuzzball. I began searching the internet for a better shampoo/conditioner as that felt like my only hope, and that's when I discovered Kerastase. I originally purchased Chroma Riche and used that for about 6 months but it eventually became a little heavy for my hair (left it a feeling weighed down), so I switched to Bain Miroir 1 and was using that shampoo for the last 3 years and over the course of those 3 years my hair gradually started coming back to life. When Bain Mirior was discontinued I took a chance on Chroma Captive, and I'm so glad I did. Chroma Captive is even better than Bain Miroir 1 (in my opinion). It smells very nice, cleanses my thin hair well without drying it out, and gives me volume and shine...after all I've been through I couldn't believe the consistent results I've had with Kerastase. Kerastase isn't cheap, but you get what you pay for and this is my one splurge! Since using Kerstase the condition of my hair has improved almost to what it was before the shedding dryness began. My hair's texture is still fine, thin, and highlighted. However, I've came to the conclusion that having thin and fine hair is my new reality but Kerastase products have without a doubt made my new hair reality much more livable. In the past 4 years I've noticed the shedding has lessened, and my once dry, thin, lifeless, fuzzball has transformed to much nice texture, definitely more manageable, and even bouncy again. If you're having trouble with your hair - give Kerastase a try...I don't think you'll be sorry!
