Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product line Been using for several weeks, I wash/treat hair once a week. Due to having done very light blond balayage, foils and touch ups for two years, my hair is now very damaged (dry/thinning/brittle/broken). I purchased Resistance Bain Extentioniste, Resistance Mask Extentioniste and Resistance Ciment Thermique. These specific products made a huge difference overall on my hair and scalp on the first try, LOVE IT!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bought the whole set, no noticeable difference! Several months ago, in high hopes of growing stronger and therefore longer hair, I bought (at great cost) Bain Extentioniste Shampoo, Conditioner and Serum. I should know better, this is in no way a magic potion to stengthen and grow hair! These products certainly made NO difference. None. Not a bit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fixed my color damaged hair in Colorado climate I was recommended this shampoo from my stylist who wanted to first repair the strength of my hair before fixing any color correction. I live where the humidity is around 20% everyday so it's extra harsh on my hair. On top of the dry air, my hair was messed up twice by people who did a bad job with balayage. I seeked help from another stylist who then told me to use this shampoo. I paired it up with my favorite hair masque conditioner by J Beverly Hill. Both work really well together and my hair feels stronger, feels softer and looks a lot better.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not my favorite.... I love Kerastase products and have been using them exclusively for 11 years. This is not my favorite. I actually think my hair is dryer than before. I am going back to the Magistrate.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love Kerastase products, prefer Bain Therapiste I have only been using Kerastase products exclusively for 2 weeks, but have since built a small collection since my first purchase. My hair is long, thick, medium-texured, wavy-curly, color-treated and Balayage-highlighted. Most of my hair is fairly healthy, but the highlighted areas tend to be dry with some split-ends. My very first purchase with Kerastase ruined me (in a good way). Before purchasing the Bain Exentioniste shampoo, I had purchased the Bain Therapiste shampoo along with the Fondant Extenioniste conditioner (these were recommended by the diagnostic tool). I fell in love with the Bain Therapiste shampoo and Fondant Extentioniste conditioner combination because it left me with a Brazilian blow-out silky, glossy result -- it felt like I had left the salon!! Then, after doing some research, I thought that maybe I should pair the Bain Extentioniste Shampoo with the Fondant conditioner or extentioniste hair mask (which I later purchased). I took the online diagnostic tool test again providing the same information, but including the desire for longer hair -- it recommended the Bain Extentioniste shampoo, Fondant Exentionise conditioner, etc. Well, my experience with the Bain Extenioniste shampoo was just okay, I probably wouldn't buy it again. Process: Upon opening, I noticed that the product was clear (not creamy like the Bain Therapiste). The smell was pleasant, but not as great as the other products. I used a quarter sized amount to my scalp, then another quarter sized amount through my lengths (second wash) and lathered them both in. I noticed that this product builds up a big lather (very sudsy), unlike the creamy Therapiste. After shampooing I combed my hair before conditioning and noticed my hair didn't tangle (very good!). Then, I conditioned with the Extentioniste mask (not to be confused with the Fondant conditioner) and then after towel-drying, I applied a hazelnut sized amount of the ciment thermique (which I love). When blow-drying, I noticed my hair was very dry and frizzy. First, I blamed the mask, but then questioned the shampoo. I had plenty of Kerastase styling products to soften my hair, but it wasn't the same as the glossy, smooth locks that the Bain Therapiste shampoo left me with. So, then, a day later I experimented with a different combo: Bain Extentioniste shampoo with the Fondant Extentioniste conditioner + ciment thermique -- this combo gave me a better result, but my hair was still slightly dry, but definitely much smoother. Then, I tried another combo (the Therapiste shampoo with the exentioniste mask -- final result gave me glossy locks). I concluded that maybe my balayage highlights don't respond well to the shampoo, or the shampoo is high in sulfates which left me with a dry hair result reminiscent of the cheaper shampoos you can buy anywhere. This afternoon, I went back to my original Therapiste shampoo and Fondant conditioner combo that I loved so much, and surprise, surprise...I have another glossy-locks, magazine-ready Brazilian blow-out salon experience in my bathroom! Conclusion: I think I am going to stick with the Bain Therapiste shampoo. While the Bain Extentioniste might work better for other hair types, I don't think it serves those with highlighted hair well. I would recommend this to friends who don't have highlighted hair or overly processed hair, or this shampoo might work those with more oily hair types. While I have given stellar 5 star reviews on practically every Kerastase product, this one only gets 4 stars. It's still a good shampoo, but it just didn't "wow" me. Going to return this back and hope they can exchange with a bottle of my favorite Bain Therapiste shampoo.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not good for highlighted hair! I have only used this two times so far, but I have highlighted hair and the diagnosis quiz said this is the best for my hair. I have such a hard time getting through my hair with this shampoo. It just doesn't work for hair that has been highlighted and you have to use a lot since it is such a thin shampoo. I unfortunately bought the large size bottle and I am regretting my expensive decision. Also - Kerastase usually has such an awesome smell - this one does not. It doesn't have a smell at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from the BEST ever!!! This shampoo/conditioner/mask and serum has completely transformed my damaged hair. It doesn’t just cost your hair to feel better, it actually repairs it. My hair is sooo soft, so shiny, so beautiful. It also does not weigh it down. I will be using this forever!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Results! I’ve using Bain Extentioniste Shampoo since it was launched and made available for purchase. This product is amazing! I have fine and thinning hair due to Lupus. I am amazed that I have regrowth and my hair doesn’t look “frizzed” anymore. The density of my hair appears fuller and healthier. Also, I have incorporated the Fondant Extentioniste and Masque into my hair routine. Finally, I wash my hair and use heat tools everyday with these fabulous results. I’m so happy! Thank you for saving my hair!
